    Learn how to delete your BGinvo account and what happens to your data.

    How to Delete Your Account

    Follow these steps to delete your account

    Log in to your account

    Visit the app and sign in with your credentials

    Navigate to Settings

    Go to Settings → Account tab

    Find the "Danger Zone" section

    Scroll down to find the Delete Account option

    Download your data, then confirm deletion

    Use the "Download My Data" button to export your invoices, clients and expenses as a ZIP file before confirming. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

    Verify your identity

    You'll be asked to confirm your account password or a code sent to your email before the deletion is processed.

    What Happens When You Delete Your Account

    Immediate Effects

    • • Your account access will be disabled immediately
    • • All active sessions will be terminated
    • • You will be logged out of all devices

    Immediately Deleted

    • • Your profile data (name, email) will be deleted
    • • Business details will be removed
    • • Clients, invoices, and expenses will be deleted
    • • Uploaded files (logos, receipts) will be removed

    Data We Must Retain

    For legal and tax compliance, we are required to retain billing records (subscription history, payment references) for 5-7 years. This data is anonymized and not used for marketing or analytics.

    Data That Will Be Deleted

    • Personal profile information
    • Email address and phone number
    • Business details
    • Client information
    • Invoices and quotes
    • Expenses and receipts
    • Uploaded files and logos
    • Account preferences

    Data Retained for Compliance

    • Stripe billing references
    • Subscription payment history
    • Transaction records (anonymized)

    Retained for 5-7 years as required by law. Not used for marketing or analytics.
