    Multi-Currency Support

Working with international clients? Invoice them in their preferred currency without the headache of manual conversions.

    Going Global

If you work with clients in different countries, you've probably dealt with the awkwardness of currency conversion. Should you invoice in your currency or theirs? What's the current exchange rate? BGinvo takes the guesswork out of it.

    Base Currency

Your base currency is the primary currency in which your business operates. Typically, this is the currency used in the country where your company is registered or where most of your financial reporting takes place.

When you first set up BGinvo, you will be asked to choose a base currency. This currency becomes the foundation for your financial records, reports, and overall accounting.

For data consistency, the base currency cannot be changed once you start creating financial records such as invoices, quotes, or expenses. Changing the base currency after transactions exist could lead to reporting inaccuracies and data inconsistencies.

For this reason, it is important to select your base currency carefully during the initial setup. If your business primarily operates in one country, it is generally best to use that country's currency as your base currency.

    Selecting a Currency

When you create a new invoice, you'll see a currency selector right at the top. Choose from a wide range of currencies - AUD, USD, NPR, EUR, GBP, AUD, INR, and many more.

Your line items, totals, and taxes will all display in the selected currency, making everything clear for your client.

    Exchange Rate Handling

BGinvo can automatically apply current exchange rates, so you don't have to look them up yourself. This is helpful for:

Understanding what you'll actually receive in your home currency
Maintaining consistent pricing across different markets
Generating reports that compare revenue across currencies

    Tracking Payments

When payments come in, BGinvo keeps track of which currency they're in. Your reports can show:

Total revenue in your base currency
    Breakdowns by individual currencies
    Outstanding amounts in each currency

    A Note on Fees

Keep in mind that your bank or payment processor might charge fees for international transfers or currency conversion. Factor that into your pricing when billing international clients.

Pro tip: If you regularly invoice in specific currencies, consider setting up currency-specific templates or saving common currency preferences for your international clients.
